Application process

Application

By visiting our website now, you’re almost there already. Our jobs are advertised on our website, on the job portal and under job vacancies. We also share them on our XING and LinkedIn profiles.

We work with a modern, digital application management system. Our user-friendly portal gives us a clear overview at all times. And our candidates manage their documents according to their own needs.

We’re looking for employees who live and breathe 360° my world! with real enthusiasm. We want to see that passion right from the outset. If you don’t know everything there is to know about SRG already, you should find out all about us before applying – e.g. on our website or at SRG SSR Metro.

A covering letter, CV, certificates and references must be included in every application.

We want to know why you should be a part of the company, and you need to convince us that that’s exactly what you want. Outline your skills, experience and ambitions.

You must include your personal details, education and further training, work experience (in chronological order) and language skills.

We welcome any interest in 360° my world! However, your chances of success are greater if the job is advertised.

You are welcome to apply for multiple jobs at the same time provided your profile matches the vacancies. However, please do not waste unnecessary time and effort.

You can edit and supplement your details and documents on the application platform at any time.

Yes. And if you change your mind, you can leave your documents on the platform for any future application.

Interview

This is where it gets interesting: we have invited you in because we feel that you will be a good fit for us. You will have researched SRG in detail already when you applied. Refresh this knowledge and delve even deeper into 360° my world! Think of some answers to potential questions relating to the job description. What in particular qualifies you for the job being advertised and what could you bring to 360° my world!?

When it comes to the interview, bear in mind the following:

  • Punctuality
  • Thorough preparation
  • Suitable clothing
  • Names of people interviewing you
  • Good manners
  • Appropriate language and register
  • Precise answers
  • Authenticity and honesty
  • Active listening and questions
    • Arriving too late or too early
    • Causing interruptions due to a mobile phone or similar
    • Telling lies
    • Taking control of the interview

The following points are always discussed at interview:

  • Reason for applying
  • Interest in SRG
  • Your education and further training
  • Your expectations
  • Previous high and low points in your career and what you learned from them
  • Special skills/expertise/wishes
  • Language skills
  • Expected salary and level of employment
  • For managerial roles: managing style/philosophy

At interview, we want to get to know one another and make sure that your expectations about the job match ours.

It can be between one and four interviews depending on the job and number of applications.

Choose clothing that is appropriate for the job itself. Whatever you would wear for the job being advertised will do.

After the interview, what we most want to know is whether the job is in line with your expectations. The HR department and line manager(s) will then jointly decide whether you are a good fit for the job and the team.

Job offer

Our impressions during the interview have a major influence on our decision. If you have already got to know the team as part of the application process, we obviously ask for feedback from the team members too. External references and, where applicable, samples of work and assessments are also taken into account.

360° my world!

Selection

We thoroughly review every application we receive and evaluate it based on the criteria listed in the job advertisement. Applicants who meet all of the criteria and offer a few extras stand a good chance of being invited to interview.

Being turned down for a job is always disappointing. But a new selection process begins with each new job advert. Everyone is on an equal footing. So don’t be discouraged if you get turned down; apply again if your profile fits the bill.
